The third event of Career Katta in conjunction with NSS Department took place on Sunday, 11th August 2024 ,virtually on Zoom platform in the form of a dialogue on ' Media Entrepreneurship: Opportunities and Challenges '. Ms. Aarti Sorout, Founder, Diva Planet Magazine and Crown Times was the Resource Person for the said event. Prof. Prajakta Raut welcomed the audience who had gathered to garner knowledge on a topic that is as dynamic as it is essential. In keeping with the tradition of Career Katta, the event started with Invocation to Goddess Saraswati, Goddess of Knowledge followed by Maharashtra Geet to respect ' asmita' of state. Prin. Dr.Alwin Menezes in his briefing address made the audience aware of the fact that in an era where the media landscape is constantly evolving, media entrepreneurship has emerged as a powerful force, driving innovation and reshaping how we consume and produce content. So ,one should think of ' treading this unbeaten path' rather than fall into stereotypes. Prof. Shahbaz Rizvi introduced the Resource Person. In her insightful talk, Ms Aarti Sourat threw a flood of light on the opportunities in this field that are boundless,from the rise of digital platforms and social media to the proliferation of podcasts,blogs and independent news outlets. Her talk was tinged with a optimistic note that anyone with a vision and the right tools can carve out a space in this vast eco- system. However, with these opportunities come significant challenges, as pinpointed by Ms Sourat. So , she foregrounded the point that media entrepreneurs must navigate an environment marked by rapid technological change, financial pressures, audience fragmentation and increasing competition. The event received outbursing response from students, especially from Commerce and Management. Dr. Subhankar Roy expressed Vote of Thanks. We are also grateful to Abhinav shetkari shikshan mandal and our college managment for their wholehearted support for our i initiative.
In essence, it is the third innovative attempt from Career katta to bring new dimensions into Academics in the form of its success mantra as ' Don't limit yourself!'

The second event of Career Katta, Abhinav College, Bhayander ( E) took place virtually on Google meet in the form of webinar on ' Artificial Intelligence: Transforming Tomorrow ' on Tuesday, 30th July 2024. The event started with Invocation to Goddess Saraswati and ' Maharashtra Geet ' in keeping with the tradition of Career katta to respect state ' Asmita '. Prof. Prajakta Raut, Coordinator, Career Katta welcomed the audience whereas Dr. Balakrishna Dalvi,Head, Department of Commerce ,read briefing message by Prin.Dr.Alwin Menezes. In his talk, Dr.Alwin Menezes made the audience aware of the fact that AI is revolutionizing industries by enabling machines to perform tasks that require human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning and problem-solving. From virtual assistance to self- driving cars, applications of Artificial Intelligence are vast and impactful. Prof. Shahbaz Rizvi introduced the Resource Person Dr.Agnes D'costa. In her enlightening talk, Dr. D'costa threw a flood of light on the vital facts that today Artificial Intelligence is felt across various sectors. It is revolutionizing the way we interact with technology. Despite its tremendous potential, AI also presents significant challenges and ethical considerations. Issues such as data privacy, algorithmic bias and the displacement of jobs due to automation need careful attention. It is crucial to develop frameworks that ensure AI is used responsibly and equitably fostering an environment where technology benefits all of society. On the whole, it is more than just a technological advancement, being a transformative force that holds the promise to address some of the most pressing challenges facing humanity. There had been outbursing response from teachers and students for the whole event. Dr. Dilip Harijan expressed Vote of Thanks.

The maiden event of Career Katta in the form of interactive session on ' Shattering the Glass Ceiling: Career Opportunities in Pageantry ' on Wednesday, 10th July 2024 with special initiative by Prof.Prajakta Raut, Coordinator, Career Katta. Ms Lipika Sharma, Miss India- Haryana 2024 and Glamanand Miss Universe- India contestant was the focal point as a Resource Person. The virtual event started with Invocation to Goddess Saraswati and in keeping with the tradition of Career Katta, Maharashtra Song to respect state ' asmita'. Prof. Shahbaz Rizvi introduced Ms Lipika Sharma whereas in his briefing address Prin. Dr. Alwin Menezes congratulated team Career Katta by adding that pageantry is often perceived merely as a spectacle of beauty and charm. However, it is far more than that. It is a dynamic field that opens doors to numerous career paths including modelling, acting, public speaking event, management, brand ambassadorship and even entrepreneurship. The skills honed through pageantry- confidence, poise, communication and leadership are invaluable and translate seamlessly into various professional arenas. The interaction began with question from Prin. Dr. Alwin Menezes who touched upon sponsorships or scholarships available for aspiring pageant contestants to which Lipika madam reverted that some pageants award scholarships to the winner, first runner-up and second runner-up. Scholarships are a common award in pageants and can be given to winners, runner- up or for specific attributes displayed during the competition. The amounts vary and contestants can use the scholarships at their chosen school. In the wake of sharing her journey from local pageant winner to global representation of country, Ms Lipika Sharma threw a flood of light on various issues including challenges involved in pageantry. Prof.Abhishek Sawant expressed vote of Thanks whereas Prin. Dr. Alwin Menezes on behalf of Abhinav College gave best wishes to Ms Lipika Sharma on the upcoming grand finale of Glamanand Miss Universe- India scheduled on 25th August 2024.
